Whenever we’re in Alberta, we never fail to visit Banff and Lake Louise and this is probably our fourth time being in this Wonderful province; just that the first three were all in the summer.
I remember asking our friends who are based out of Calgary if people still drive up these mountains in the winter and she said that activities are year round.
We discovered that winter driving toward Banff and Lake Louise wasn’t that bad, in fact it was a relatively good one.
It’s a different kind of Lake Louise that most of those who had the chance to visit it in the summer as you see below.
We were excited to come and see the Lake as we were curious on as to how it would like like when it’s frozen.
The lake behind us is all frozen that there were kids playing hockey and skating in this vast Lake Louise.
I wouldn’t say walking around would be appealing if you’re not used to the cold but you may tend to forget the chill when you see the many beautiful views the wintered Lake Louise has to offer.
Below is the famous Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
If you’re familiar with the place, the below image shows the small part of the lake that’s not actually frozen… and yes, the water flows!
